Brown Sugar Pineapple Wings

Brown Sugar Pineapple Wings

These wings are glazed with a tropical-inspired sauce that balances sweetness, tang, and a savory punch – perfect for game day, parties, or anytime you want a finger-licking treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • ½ cup (120 ml) pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • ¼ cup (55 g) brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Fresh pineapple chunks for garnish
  • Chopped cilantro or green onions for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure they crisp up properly during roasting. Arrange the wings in a single layer and bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and the skin is crispy.

While the wings are in the oven, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Let it bubble for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce reduces and thickens into a glossy, syrupy consistency that can easily coat a spoon.

Once the wings are finished cooking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the warm pineapple glaze over the wings and toss thoroughly until every piece is completely submerged in the sauce.

For an extra caramelized finish, return the coated wings to the baking sheet and broil on high for 2–3 minutes until the sauce starts to bubble and char slightly. Transfer the wings to a serving platter and top with fresh pineapple chunks and a sprinkle of cilantro for a bright, tropical presentation.
