Hungarian Lángos

Ingredients:

  • 500 g flour
  • 25 g fresh yeast or 7 g dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300 ml warm milk or water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Oil for frying

Optional toppings:

  • Garlic water
  • Sour cream
  • Grated cheese

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar and let it activate.
  2. Mix flour, salt, oil, and yeast mixture.
  3. Knead into a soft dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Divide into balls and flatten into discs.
  5. Fry in hot oil until golden on both sides.
  6. Drain and add toppings as desired.
