Crack Chicken Casserole
This Crack Chicken Casserole is the ultimate comfort food, combining shredded chicken, crispy tater tots, and a velvety cheese sauce. It’s often called “crack” chicken because of its addictive blend of ranch seasoning, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
Crack Chicken Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 lb cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup bacon bits, cooked and crumbled
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Mix the Sauce: In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and the dry ranch seasoning until smooth.
- Combine: Fold the shredded chicken and half of both cheeses (cheddar and mozzarella) into the sauce mixture.
- Layer: Spread the chicken mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the top.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
